Into The Water

Spanish artist Sonia Alins Miguel uses a mixture of greaseproof paper, watercolour, ink, wool and trimmings to construct the 3D images in this recent work. Many subjects in this piece are tirelessly fighting for survival in an undefined and murky environment accompanied with faces of agony and fear. Shortlisted for The 2016 World Illustration Awards, one truly wonders if the viewer will ever understand the gravity of the situation.

Illustrator Uses Clever 3D Tricks To Bring His Cartoons To Life

Danish artist, HuskMitNavn, has taken his playful black-and-white drawings of things as simple as opening a can of food, or as frustrating as running out of toilet paper, and brought them to life as incredible pieces of 3D cartoons on one sheet of paper.
The artist merges the 2D and 3D worlds by folding or tweaking the paper in such a way, that it sees these lively cartoons literally jump off the page.
