There are times when it is hard to believe in the future, when we are temporarily just not brave enough. When this happens, concentrate on the present. Cultivate ‘le petit bonheur’ (the little happiness) until courage returns. Look forward to the beauty of the next moment.. the likelihood that tonight the stars will shine. Sink roots into the present until the strength grows to think about tomorrow.

CARLOS AUGUSTO é licenciado pela University of Massachusetts onde estudou Jazz Improvisation com o saxofonista Bobby Green e foi membro da Jazz Big Band. Realça os projetos: Pixound na Kniting Factory e The Kitchen (direção Laurie Anderson) em Nova Iorque; Drummstick com E. Doc Smith (baterista da Madona e Brian Eno); Grupo Chakra com Celio de Carvalho e Arthur Maia (baixista do Gilberto Gil); e DC-ArtBeat no ESL (Thievery Corporation club. Foi Diretor do festival anual de arte e música experimental DCARTBEAT de 1996 a 2006 em Washington, DC; e recentemente em Portugal, escreveu e produziu O Mistério do Hidroavião de Xabregas, Espionagem, Propaganda e Sabotagem em Lisboa 1944.

GORDON JONES possui uma licenciatura pela Hampton University e é professor de música e saxophone. Como músico profissional participou em vários grupos e projetos na área de Richmond, Virginia com Dave Matthews, The Wailers e Chris “Peanut” Whitley na Stable Roots Productions. Presentemente é saxofonista da Corey Harris Blues Band, internacionalmente conhecido pelo documentário de Martin Scorsese The Blues, tendo estado em Portugal na Cultergest e CCB. Foi também membro da Jazz Poets Society aonde fez tournée com Erikah Badau, The Roots, e A Tribe called Quest. Membro do grupo D.J. Williams Projekt, The Oregon Hill Funk All Stars e da Illegal States Brass Band em Richmond, Virginia.

MARK INGRAHAM é licensiado pela Virginia Commonwealth University em Composição e Jazz Trumpet Performance. Em 2004 ficou em terceiro lugar na competição nacional de trompete dos EUA. Participou em vários grupos como the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, the O’Jays, the P-Funk Allstars, and Steve Lacy with Herb Pommeroy. Gravou mais de 30 albuns e fez tourné com John Legend, Buddy Guy, Michael McDonald, Foghat, the Dave Mathews Band, Soulive, Chuck Mangione, and Boney James. Atualmente é membro dos grupos D.J. Williams Projekt e The Oregon Hill Funk All Stars.
